An Outline Planning Proposal for The Grange Hotel Brent Knoll Highbridge.

This consultation website is to share the outline proposals for expansion of The Grange Hotel, Bristol Road, Brent Knoll Highbridge.

The present owners took over the Hotel just two years ago. In 2018, a tentative pre-application enquiry was made with a view to developing the business. This was encouraged by Sedgemoor Officers.

Like many local businesses, lockdown impacted significantly on the hotel. However, it has also provided the opportunity to the owners for a complete review of the business, to consider how they might create a viable model for the future. Existing accommodation is very limited and dated. And any expansion would require a significant investment, increasing the range of facilities and the number and quality of guest rooms.

Early local engagement - at this early stage in the planning process, the team is committing to engagement with all local stakeholders. This web site share as much information as is currently available for constructive comment. Please view this OUTLINE application as a vision for proposed expansion. It could create an important new venue for the Brent Knoll area, as well as increased local employment opportunities.
